Foodcheck®

Our Food Safety Management Program, suitable for food businesses that are committed to food safety and want to promote their commitment to the public. It is ideal for restaurants, tourist venues, cafes, caterers and those businesses that do not need or want HACCP but want an elevated level of food safety.

It includes:

  • 24 hours - 7 days access to food safety expert support and advice on any food safety issue;

  • Analysis of up to four food samples a year for food poisoning bacteria including Salmonella spp, Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria spp and Escherichia coli;

  • Environmental testing for pathogens;

  • Up to two hygiene audits a year to identify “at risk” practices; and

  • Written reports following each visit.

Haccp PLans

We offer a complete range of HACCP and food safety program services. We implement simple and effective HACCP programs compliant to the Codex Alimentarius Commission requirements.

Our experience in repairing poorly implemented HACCP plans give us the leading edge in preparing robust HACCP plans. We can develop prerequisite plans and verification programs.

NATA Accredited Laboratory Services

We are NATA Accredited Laboratory #19609 for testing of food and environmental surfaces.

We have an extensive range of analytical services, full details of which can be found at our NATA Laboratory listing.

These include:

  • Pathogen screening, using latest scientific techniques;

  • Compliance with regulatory requirements;

  • Environmental monitoring;

  • Shelf-life testing; and

  • Challenge testing.

We collect and transport samples making engagement with the laboratory as seamless and hassle-free as possible. Our scientists provide interpretation of laboratory results and support in managing food safety issues as necessary.


HACCP Audits

Our Managing Director Craig Andrew is an ExemplarGlobal auditor.  Our audits are thorough and we provide Australian Food Microbiology approval to compliant systems.  After the audit and follow up actions are completed we provide a certificate of compliance.


Labelling & Nutritional Panels

Ensuring food is correctly labelled is crucial for food safety and for economic viability. The Australian Food Standards Code (FSC) stipulates how Australian food is to be labelled. We support both local manufacturers and overseas manufacturers who need to ensure that their products comply with Australian food labelling regulations.

The Australian Food Standards Code requires food to declare the nutritional composition of food, including fat, protein, sugars, salt and other nutrients and additives.  We calculate your panel or arrange for laboratory analysis to accurately determine your nutritional panel as well as preparing your ingredients list in compliance with these regulations. We can also prepare allergen declarations and can apply the Vital Allergen Management program to your products and train your staff in it’s use.

How long will your food last before it becomes unstable, unpalatable or unsafe?  We determine the shelf-life or your product and guide you in choosing a “Use by” date or “Best before” date.  We can apply the Combase and Seafood Spoilage and Safety Predictor (SSSP) programs to your products to assist in establishing shelf-life.
